How does the StormHook work?

Press the button once and the canopy opens. Press again to fold it. Then push the shaft back in by hand until it clicks: that resets the spring that opens it by itself next time. Wrap the strap and it stays closed.

How does it handle the wind?

The frame has 10 double ribs in fiberglass. In a gust they bend and spring back, where thin metal ribs stay bent. In an extreme gust the canopy can fold: point it into the wind and it comes straight back into shape.

How big and how heavy is it?

Closed, it measures about 30 cm and fits a tote, a backpack or a car door pocket. Open, its 58 cm ribs form a 105 cm canopy: room for you and your bag. It weighs about 500 g.

What is the hook for?

The oval carabiner handle clips onto a bag loop, a strap, a stroller or the back of a chair. Your umbrella stays with your things, without taking up a hand.

Does it protect from the sun too?

Yes. The canopy has a UV coating rated UPF50+ that blocks 99% of UV rays. It works as a sun umbrella in summer.

Can people see it at night?

Every rib has a reflective strip that catches the light from headlights and street lamps.

How do I look after it?

Let it dry open before folding it and putting it back in its sleeve.

What is in the box?

Every umbrella comes with its wrap strap and its storage sleeve. In a pack, you choose each umbrella's colour.

How does shipping work?

Shipping is free to the UK. Every order ships with tracking, sent to you by email. Allow 1 to 3 business days of processing and quality control, then 6 to 10 business days of delivery. Full details are on our Shipping page.

Can I return my umbrella?

Yes, you have 30 days to send it back. The conditions are set out on our Returns & Refunds page.
